Our Founders

Carl and Vinnette Jarrett have been married for over 30 years. They are parents of a blended family of 4 girls and 1 boy. They are the proud grandparents of 4 boys and 4 girls. They migrated to America in 1989 with their children. Since then, they both worked hard, working 16 hours a day most days for many years. Mr. Jarrett saw where individuals were throwing away medical books that he knew students in Jamaica could benefit from, so he started to gather those books with the intention to send them to Jamaica to help youth to further their education.  Mrs. Jarrett supported her spouse's vision and packed the books to be shipped at their personal expense.

After the first give away, Mr. and Mrs. Jarrett joined together to collect books and other items to give to the surrounding communities in Jamaica. They saved and financed the shipping of all items with limited monetary contributions from outside sources. Their desire is to see the youth become successful. They each play a role in the growth of the organization's efforts to impact their surrounding Jamaican communities.
